Summarize text using a suitable Large Language Model (LLM).

Configuration

Connection ID - The connection established in Integration Service. Access the dropdown menu to choose, add, or manage connections.
Model name - The generative AI model or ID to use. This activity defaults to the model with the highest quality observed output. However, you can select a different model based on desired outputs and testing. Switching models can impact the output.
Text to summarize - The text you want to summarize. This field supports String type input.
Number of summary words - The maximum word count for the summary of the provided text. Defaults to 150 and is limited to 1000. This field supports Int32 type input.
Detect language for output - Detect the language input and either return the summary in the same language or a different language. Default value: True. Boolean value.
- Output language - The language preference for the output, if not the same as input. Select a language from the available dropdown list. This field is displayed if Detect language for output is set to False.

Manage Properties

Use the Manage Properties wizard to configure or use any of the object's standard or custom fields. You can select fields to add them to the activity canvas. The added standard or custom fields are available in the Properties panel (in Studio Desktop) or under Show additional properties (in Studio Web).

Additional properties

Summary format - The format for the generated summarized text, e.g., organized in paragraph form, as a bulleted or numbered list, chronological, etc. Select an option from the dropdown list.
Creativity - A number between 0.0 and 2.0 indicating the creativity factor or sampling temperature to use. Higher values mean the model will be more creative with the summarization, but also take more risks, which could lead to more variance from the input text. Default value is 0.1.
