Analyze Form

The Analyze Form activity uses the Form Recognizer Analyze Form API to extract key-value pairs and table data from a specified document (File Path or File URL) using a specified training model (Model Id).

After completing the analyze form operation, the activity outputs the results in an AnalyzeOperationResult object (Response Object) and a Page[] object (Pages). Both of these outputs can be used as input variables in subsequent activities (e.g., conditional logic).

How It Works

The following steps and message sequence diagram is an example of how the activity works from design time (i.e., the activity dependencies and input/output properties) to run time.

  1. Complete the Setup steps.
  2. Add the Azure Form Recognizer Scope activity to your project.
  3. Add the Analyze Form activity inside the Azure Form Recognizer Scope activity.
  4. Enter values for the Input properties.
  5. Create and enter the AnalyzeOperationResult and Page[] variables for the Output properties.
  6. Run the activity.

    • Your input properties are sent to the Analyze Form API.
    • The API returns the AnalyzeFormResponse and FormPage[] values to your output property variables.
