Description

Saves the attachments of the specified mail message.

Scopes

This activity requires the following scopes:

  • https://mail.google.com/

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify

OR

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly

OR

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.metadata

Configuration

  • Gmail connection - The connection for the Google Workspace account to use in the activity.
  • Email message - The email whose attachments to save. This field accepts GmailMessage variables. Use the See more button menu to use a variable as the input mode. You can use the output variable from other activities.
  • Filter by filename - Download only the attachments whose name matches the specified pattern. Multiple filename patterns should be separated by a vertical bar (|) character. A pattern may contain the wildcard character (*) , which matches zero or more characters (e.g., *.xlsx or file1.pdf or fi*.pdf|*.docx). This property supports String variables and string formatted values. Use the Plus docs image button menu to switch to Advanced search. Advanced search uses the Filter Builder widget to configure the filter criteria.
Additional options
  • Exclude inline attachments - Specifies whether to ignore inline attachments. By default, False is selected.

Output

  • Attachments - The downloaded files. Automatically generated output variable. You can use it as it is or save it with a different name. You can use this in other activities.
Note: The default download path is: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp\ .
