Apply File Labels

Description

Applies Google Drive labels to the specified file.

Labels are not supported for the following file types: Folders, Links, Shared Drives, Files, and Shortcuts owned by another organisation.

Note:
This activity can be used if you create the Google Drive connection using the Bring your own OAuth 2.0 app authentication method and define a drive.labels.readonly scope. If you want to use the public UiPath application, add the activity inside Google Workspace Scope and select the drive.labels.readonly scope.

This activity requires the following scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive AND https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.labels.readonly

OR

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive AND https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.labels

Configuration

  • Google Drive connection - The connection for the Google Workspace account to use in the activity.
  • File - The file to apply labels to. The file can be retrieved, for example, from a For Each File activity. This field accepts IResource input. Click the Folder docs image icon to browse Google Drive files.
    • Use the See more button menu to use a variable or select the Reload Folder Data option if you've modified your folders and need to retrieve the latest data.

    • Url or ID - Enter the URL or ID of the file you wish to use. This property supports String type input.
  • Labels to add - Select which labels to apply to the file. This field supports String variables.
    • Use the Refresh labels option if you've updated your labels and need to retrieve the latest data.

    • Manage Label Fields - Select which labels fields to add or update.
