Prerequisites

These are the minimum requirements needed for working with Task Mining product:

Prerequisites for enabling the service

To start using the Task Mining service you need to check that the following prerequisites are met:

  • You have an Automation CloudTM Public Sector account. See About Automation Cloud™ for Public Sector for more details.
  • The Organization Admin from Automation CloudTM Public Sectoris the same as the Admin User set up in Task Mining.

  • The users invited to participate in the recording process need to have an account set up in Automation CloudTM Public Sector.

  • Assisted Task Mining is available in Automation Cloud™ and Automation Cloud™ Public Sector, Unassisted Task Mining is available in Automation Cloud™, Automation Cloud™ Public Sector, and Automation Suite.
Note:

See Software Requirements for the prerequisites that apply to all UiPath® Automation CloudAutomation CloudTM Public Sector services.

To find out how to enable the Task Mining service in Automation CloudTM Public Sector, see Enabling the Task Mining service.

AI Units

To work with Unassisted Task Mining, you need to have AI Units on your account. Each Analysis Run consumes 5,000 AI units.

You can now allocate and track AI Units consumption at the tenant level. If you run a new analysis for your Unassisted Task Mining project, it will consume AI Units at the account level until you allocate AI Units to the tenant where the analysis is run.

You can allocate AI Units to a tenant from the license allocation window corresponding to the desired tenant in the Automation CloudTM Public Sector Admin section. Refer to allocating licenses to a tenant.

By default, each tenant is allocated 0 AI Units, and all AI Units are consumed from the account pool. To make use of AI Units per tenant, you assign AI Units to a given tenant. The tenant will start consuming AI Units from its tenant pool until the balance reaches 0, at which point new Unassisted Task Mining analyses will fail.

See also AI Units for more information on AI Units.

Firewall allowed listing

If your company uses proxies, the URLs need to be added to the Firewall Exceptions so the Task Mining desktop components connect to our web servers.

See Configuring the firewall for an overview of the URLs.

Note: The Task Mining Desktop application uses web sockets for real-time communication with the server (telemetry and governance). For the URLs and IPs to be allowed, the transparent proxy is expected to have the HTTPS and WSS protocols enabled.
