The UiPath® Apps integration with Action Center actions is now generally available (GA).

This update brings a new way to design actions and action schemas from within the Apps user interface. You no longer need to pre-define actions inside Action Center - you can now define actions in Apps.

The advantages of this integration are:

Greater than the sum of their parts: Action apps combine efficient task oversight from Action Center with the versatility of Apps. This empowers you to build sophisticated workflows and accelerate human-robot collaboration.

Rapid iteration: You can quickly redesign aspects of your action app without disrupting the workflow in Action Center, ensuring control and accountability across all processes.

Support for Legacy Apps, the previous generation of Apps, which used the Legacy (non-VB) expression language in Automation Cloud, will be gradually removed in the near future. You can use the VB migration tool to facilitate the migration of Legacy Apps.

The phased deprecation plan for Legacy Apps is as follows:

Starting with July 2024, you can no longer create new Legacy Apps in Automation Cloud. You can still edit, clone, and import any existing apps in Automation Cloud until December 2024. As such, we recommend that you plan your migration accordingly.

Starting with December 2024, all Legacy Apps in Automation Cloud will become read-only. In June 2025, Legacy Apps and their associated runtime will be removed and no longer supported.

Details on the deprecation plan for Automation Suite will follow separately at a later date.

As part of our customer commitment, we will continue to provide bug fixes for core features, until end-of-support.

We understand the importance of this transition and are here to support you throughout the upgrade process.

We recommend that you regularly check the deprecation timeline for any updates regarding features that will be deprecated and removed.

UiPath® Solutions Management, the one-stop-shop for creating and managing custom packages that serve as a foundation for your automations, now includes a new component, in the form of apps. You can build and deploy automation solutions which contain apps, as well as app dependencies, such as queues, processes, entities, and actions.

This component is folder-scoped, meaning you can access specific apps based on your folder selection during the creation of a new solution project.

Autopilot allows you to quickly and easily build forms through a simple natural-language text prompt, a PDF or an image. Generative AI does all the heavy lifting, allowing developers to better focus their resources and efforts.

Here are a few of the use cases that Autopilot can assist you with:

Digitising legacy forms: Numerous legacy paper forms from organizations all around the world have not yet been digitized. Autopilot can ingest and digitize any PDF or image of an existing form.

Natural language interactions for rapid prototyping: From just a text description, Autopilot for Apps constructs your intended layout. This is ideal for quickly creating a demo or a mock-up.
