Identity Management Portal

The Identity Management Portal is Identity Server's interface. It enables you to configure external identity provider settings and to generate installation access tokens for integration with other UiPath on-premises products or services. It has three available menus: Hub, External Providers and Installation Access Token.

Note: The Identity Management Portal is only accessible at the host level for the System Administrator.

Accessing Identity Management Portal

  1. Navigate to https://[OrchestratorURL]/account/hostlogin.
  2. Log in as System Administrator, using the credentials provided by our teams when purchasing a license and write host in the Tenant Name field.

  3. Navigate to Settings > Security.
  4. On the Identity Management section, click Manage External Providers or Manage Installation Keys. The Identity Management Portal is displayed.

Important: Logging out from the Identity Management Portal signs you out of Identity Server, but not from Orchestrator. To log out of Orchestrator, you have to access it and perform a logout.

The Hub Menu

This menu displays a list of links to the apps that were integrated with Identity Server. By default, only Orchestrator is integrated with Identity Server.

Note: The Hub menu is also accessible for users at the tenant level. After logging in to Orchestrator, modify the existing URL in your browser's address bar by adding /identity after your Orchestrator's URL. For example, the changed address should be https://Orchestrator/identity.

After you're authenticated in Identity Server, click on any of the apps displayed here to be redirected to that app.

The External Providers Menu

This menu opens the External Providers page, enabling you to configure the external identity provider-specific settings. Identity Server acts as a federation gateway, supporting external identity providers, thus shielding its client applications from details of how to connect to these external providers. This means that external identity provider settings are no longer set in Orchestrator's UiPath.Orchestrator.dll.config file, instead they are configured on this page, in sections specific to each identity provider.

Identity Server can be configured to use the following identity providers:

  • Google

  • Windows

  • Azure AD

  • SAML

Read about the specific settings and additional manual configurations needed in case you've updated your Orchestrator from an older release here.

The Installation Access Token Menu

This menu opens the Installation Access Token page, which enables you to generate and copy an access token. This token allows you to access the APIs that enable you to register other UiPath on-premise products for Single Sign-On with Orchestrator.

Read more about this token here.
