Data Fabric release notes
June 2025
We are excited to announce the launch of UiPath Data Fabric in public preview.
Data Fabric represents the evolution of Data Service, now with powerful capabilities to connect, unify, and act on data across your enterprise, without having to use copying operations.
With virtual fields, you can create entities that pull live data from external systems such as Salesforce, SAP, and more. These fields behave just like regular fields in your automations, workflows, and apps, enabling real-time access to business-critical data.
Data Fabric acts like a unifying layer that brings together data from multiple systems into a single, logical entity. This feature eliminates data silos, gives you full visibility, prevents fragmented data, and allows you to design automations that adapt to change faster.
Explore the following improvements and new features:
- Virtual fields from external systems without needing data replication.
- A unified entity that works across Studio, Apps, Workflows, and Maestro.
- Write-back support, which helps update external systems directly from UiPath.
- Enhanced user interface with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and Data Mapper for intuitive modeling and mapping.
The main benefits around the Data Fabric approach include the following:
- Real-time access to connected data from external systems with no duplication operations.
- Faster and scalable integration with external data sources.
- Built-in governance with role-based record access (RBAC) for secure and compliant data access
