StudioX User Guide
Last updated Aug 7, 2024

Introduction

UiPath StudioX is a complete solution for automating business applications. It's no-code platform enables every business user to automate repetitive tasks by offering seamless integration with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications and an intuitive user interface that makes it easy to create automations. After you create an automation, you can run it and share it with your colleagues.

The end result of working in StudioX is the automation project, a custom set of steps called activities. Each activity performs an action, such as clicking a button, copying data from one Excel file to another, or saving an Outlook email attachment to a folder. You add activities, define the execution order and the relationships between them in the Designer panel where you can also view a real-time graphic representation of your project.

Building an automation

You can quickly and easily build automations in StudioX using the no-code and drag-and-drop construction design. Furthermore, using the friendly interface and pre-designed templates and scenarios you can begin automating without any prior experience.

Automate your work with everyday apps

With advanced UI automation, StudioX enables you to work with every web and desktop app, including special support for SAP. StudioX also offers native integration support for Microsoft Office and Google Workspace to help automate your day-to-day work even faster.

Running and sharing your automations

Your robot is deployed locally on your desktop, enabling you to control how to run and schedule it through UiPath Assistant. This way, you can easily share your automations with co-workers.

Using Automation Ops

Automation Ops provides a management console to help keep automations running smoothly. Using Automation Ops, centers of excellence (CoE) can set guardrails around what users can and can't do. Together with an automatic audit trail, Automation Ops helps ensure the quality and compliance of your citizen developer programs. For more information about Automation Ops, visit the Introduction page in the Automation Ops guide.
