2019 Fast Track 3.0

3.7.5

Release date: 20 July 2020

What's New

Voice Commands for Android

You'll be glad to know that Android users were not forgotten after releasing voice commands for iOS during our previous deployment. Now we've implemented the same feature for Android. Voice commands allow for fast access to the most used pages within the app. Open Google Assistant and speak out loud one of the commands for the app to display the corresponding page. The following voice commands are currently available:

  • Show my recent jobs - opens the See recent jobs page
  • Start a job - opens the Start Job page
  • Open my top actions - opens the Actions inbox page.

Manage the voice commands via your device's Google Assistant. ??? is this correct???

Note that the voice commands available to you respect your specific user permissions.

Run & Edit Processes

We've invested some time in developing new, easier ways for you to perform your work. Specifically, your ability to run or edit a process directly from the Jobs page > Processes tab. Simply long-press on an item here to select your choice of action.

Another new perk is that you can run a process directly from the Process Detail page. You're welcome!

Note: The apps are released following a staged rollout process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.7.4

Release date: 8 July 2020

What's New

Voice Commands for iOS

In addition to the Shortcuts feature introduced just a short while ago, we've implemented a series of voice commands that allow for fast access to the most used pages within the app running on your iOS device. Speak out loud one of the commands for the app to display the corresponding page. The following voice commands are currently available and await you to enable them:

  • Show my recent jobs - opens the See recent jobs page
  • Start a job - opens the Start Job page
  • Open my top actions - opens the Actions inbox page.

Manage the voice commands by selecting the Siri Shortcuts option within the Settings page. Click on the + icon to customize and enable the command. Of course, you can edit or remove any of the existing commands.

Note that the voice commands displayed respect your specific user permissions.

Image Support for Storage Buckets

The Orchestrator Mobile app now supports images for your form actions. The images can be loaded from storage buckets, one of Orchestrator's new features, introduced in Orchestrator v20.4.1.

Improvements

We know how frustrating it may be to read an error message that doesn't say much about the error. From now on, you'll be better informed whenever you encounter errors while connecting your mobile app to an on-premises Orchestrator.

Note: The apps are released following a staged rollout process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.7.3

Release date: 23 June 2020

What's New

Convenient Way of Offering Feedback

Feel free to communicate your thoughts and experiences regarding our app, be those positive, negative, feature requests, or anything between, as often as you wish, publicly or privately. Until now, you could only rate the app publicly within the App Store. This release brings you the option to write to us privately. Simply access the Share Feedback link on the Settings page, fill out the displayed form and click Submit.

You may also be prompted from time to time to ask about your app experience. It's up to you if you want to rate the app with a thumbs up or thumbs down, or send us your feedback.

Application Shortcuts

We've implemented shortcuts that allow for fast access to the most used pages within our app. Long-pressing on the Orchestrator Mobile application icon on your device’s Home screen displays a Shortcuts menu. Selecting an option opens the app and displays the corresponding page. The following shortcuts are currently available: See recent jobs,Start a Job, and Actions inbox.

Note:

The shortcuts displayed respect your specific user permissions.

Note: The apps are released following a staged rollout process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.7.2

Release date: 9 June 2020

Improvement

We've implemented a friendlier way for you to assign or reassign actions to your teammates. Instead of showing you unintuitive usernames to select from, now we're displaying the email address of your colleagues. Confusion while assigning actions eliminated.

Breaking Change

Cloud Orchestrator underwent some integration changes that would have prevented you from logging into our Mobile app. :fa-warning: To make sure this isn't an issue, simply update the app to the latest available version.

Note: The apps are released following a staged rollout process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.7

Release date: 26 May 2020

What's New

Process Detail

Our app was in need of a dedicated place for you to see detailed information about your processes and perform specific process management activities.

Introducing the bright new Process Detail page, that allows you to add a process to favorites, and displays information such as process name, description, version, job priority, package, type, parameters, and, in case of classic folders, environment.

You can edit some of the details after opening the Edit Process page from the overflow menu. Update details like automatically start the process, name, or job priority.

The overflow menu also allows you to delete a process along with the triggers using it.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.6

Release date: 11 May 2020

What's New

Single Sign-On Support for On-Premises Orchestrator v2020.4

We've worked hard to offer you a smooth Single Sign-On experience when using your mobile device to access on-premises Orchestrator instances. As the SSO for external identity providers is carried out by our just launched Identity Server, make sure that the Orchestrator instances are v2020.4 and above.

Note:

This feature is not supported by mobile devices running iOS 12 or below.

Actions Instead of Tasks

Aligning our Orchestrator Mobile app with its web-based counterpart, we've treated the Tasks feature to a major overhaul, with actions instead of tasks working as the operational units of the Action Center. Don’t worry, the functionality itself stays the same. Read more about this change in our Platform release notes.

Note: The apps are released following a staged rollout process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.5

Release date: 13 April 2020

What's New

Run Unattended Jobs in Modern Folders

We've added more Modern Folders related features to our mobile app, so that you can take advantage of them on your mobile device just like on a web-based Orchestrator. This time, we're empowering you to run unattended jobs and start jobs directly from your triggers.

The Start Job page was changed to allow for Unattended job type selection. You can select a specific user for the process execution or leave it as Any user when having machines with multiple runtimes.

The Add Trigger and Edit Trigger pages for Time and Queue triggers were updated to offer you the above-mentioned options: now you can select the desired job type and the preferred user.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.4.1

Release date: 30 March 2020

What's New

From now on, you cannot start jobs or create triggers from Orchestrator Mobile on a Robot of type Studio or StudioX. This is what you need to do to keep your environment trouble-free:

  • If you use Studio in production environments via unattended scheduling configured in Orchestrator, use Unattended robots.
  • If you use Orchestrator in development environments to schedule and execute jobs on Studio or StudioX robots, use NonProduction robots instead.

To help you ease the transition, we've improved error messaging around existing Triggers and Jobs containing such robots to help you identify and change them.

Read more about this change impacting our latest Cloud Platform Orchestrator in our UiPath Forum post.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.4

Release date: 17 March 2020

What's New

Queues

The Queues feature on our Mobile app got even richer in functionality. This release empowers you to add queues from the Queues page and edit existing ones in the Update Queue page.

Depending on your permissions and for an Orchestrator release 19.10 or later, you can also enable or modify SLA predictions and Risk SLA for your queues.

Read here more about creating queues.

Task Form Improvements

For your convenience, we've introduced landscape mode for the task forms. Along with increased zoom control, it allows you to easily view large forms with complex fields on your phone.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.3.2

Release date: 2 March 2020

Improvements

Queues

This release helps you stay informed about your queues with our improved Queues and Queue Detail pages.

Queues listed on the Queues page now display their name, the process to be launched by an associated trigger or defined in an SLA if any, the number of items in progress and remaining, and the description.

The enriched Queue Detail page offers you comprehensive data on the selected queue, when available: average time, description, trigger, and SLA. This page also allows you to add or edit queue triggers, while its new overflow menu enables you to add or edit its trigger, and to remove the queue.

Start Job

Matching the features already available on our Android app, now you can start a job directly from the Processes page while using the iOS app.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.3.1

Release date: 18 February 2020

What's New

Job Priority

We're introducing job priority to our Mobile app, just recently added to the web-based Orchestrator. This is a mandatory field for uploading a process (only possible in your web-based Orchestrator), starting a job, creating or editing a trigger. The priority options are High,Normal and Low. Jobs and triggers take their priority from the process, but you can edit their priority level later.

Note that previously created items get the default Normal priority.

Sorting Capabilities for Tasks

Get ready to sort tasks on your mobile device beyond the default sort order. Until now, newly created external tasks could easily get lost between other unassigned tasks, because they were first grouped by highest priority, and then within each grouping, by oldest first. We've added extra sorting options - Newest,Oldest,Priority - on both the Quick Actions and the Tasks pages. Click the Sort by text to display the current sort choice and select your desired option.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.3

Release date: 3 February 2020

What's New

Queue Triggers

Aligning our Mobile app's features with those available on the web-based Orchestrator, we've added support for Queue Triggers. Create queue triggers in the Add Trigger page's new Queue tab. Remember to select a queue within the Select Queue page, and to set the trigger details within the Trigger Conditions page.

Edit triggers either by long pressing on each trigger on the Triggers page or by pressing the overflow menu in the top right corner of the Trigger Detail page. Note that once a trigger is created, you cannot switch its type. Read more about managing queue triggers here.

External Tasks

Starting now, the Orchestrator Mobile app also offers support for the external tasks just launched on the UiPath Platform. Note that you can only Complete these tasks, and you cannot view, assign or reassign them.

Filter the tasks by Type according to your preferences, selecting External to list the formless tasks.

Improvements

The messages we've implemented offer more clarity on the occasions when our Cloud Orchestrator is under maintenance. At such times you cannot access your service, therefore you are presented with a message like this: Orchestrator is undergoing scheduled maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again later.

We've also improved the messages displayed for situations when new builds requiring downtime are being deployed on UiPath Cloud Platform, resulting in communication issues with Orchestrator. Note that you can check status.uipath.com for status updates.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.2.2

Release date: 21 January 2020

Improvements

We've made improvements to the way we handle favorite jobs whose Robot(s) got removed. If you try running such a job and the app finds differences within its Execution Target, you receive an alert about which Robots were removed. You can either edit and save the updated favorite job to be able to run it or dismiss the alert message while keeping the job in an error state.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.2.1

Release date: 8 January 2020

 What's New

This year's first release brings an easy way to give your honest rating to the Orchestrator Mobile app. Click the Rate the App link within the Settings page to be redirected to the corresponding store (App Store for iOS, respectively Google Play for Android), select the desired number of stars, and provide your feedback if you wish. Simple as that!

Improvements

We've made improvements on the way we handle favorite jobs whose processes got deleted. Instead of silently removing the favorite job when the process corresponding to it no longer exists, now you are notified through an alert about this situation. You can either delete the job yourself by clicking a button or dismiss the alert message while keeping the job in an error state.

We've also changed how the app reacts to favorite jobs whose processes got updated. Prior to this release, the processes were not checked for changes to the inherited values such as new or removed parameters or changed type. Starting now, you are notified through an alert saying It looks like this process version has updated. Please double-check and save the job configuration before running. Save the updated favorite job to be able to run it.

On iOS, when you removed a favorite job that was also added to Siri, the corresponding command remained, even though it didn't work anymore. We now enable you to smoothly remove the command as well.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.2

Release date: 16 December 2019

 What's New

Introducing Favorite Jobs, a new feature built especially for our Mobile App! Mark your most popular jobs as favorites, give them a custom name, and quickly run them from the Quick Actions tab. Your favorite jobs are easy to spot, as they are marked with a  icon.

Mark your favorite jobs within the Job Detail,Jobs, and Quick Action pages. Reorder them at any time through a simple drag & drop, or remove them from your favorites by clicking the star  icon once again.

Tired of clicking? Add your favorite jobs to Siri and run them via voice command! This is only applicable for our Orchestrator Mobile app running on iOS devices.

All the relevant information about favorite jobs is securely stored locally on your mobile device, in an encrypted database. Deleting the app, then re-installing it results in losing your favorites.

Using this new feature is subject to the permissions your user has within Orchestrator. Click here to read more about favorite jobs.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

3.1.1

What’s New

Furthering our efforts to bring you a smoother user experience, Orchestrator Mobile now incorporates the highly-anticipated Dark Theme. The app, both for Android and for iOS, has been painted in eye-soothing gray shades, with bits of blue and orange, making the whole UI more appealing and easier on the eyes.

Starting now you can select a calendar from the Non-working days restrictions drop-down when adding or editing a Time trigger, just as you do in the desktop version of Orchestrator. Click here for information about Non-Working Days calendars.

2019 Fast Track 3.0.1

Release date: 4 November 2019

 What’s New

We’ve spent these last few weeks getting our Mobile app in ship shape for the upcoming Orchestrator 19.10 release. Without further ado here are the main changes:

  • The Assets page has a new optional Description field, and brings a small change in how credential types are displayed. Nothing too serious.
  • The Current jobs chart on the Dashboard presents the new job states added to better support the Tasks functionality, namely Resumed and Suspended.

  • To make it even better, you can also see the tasks associated to a suspended job in Trigger Detail view. And because that's already a thing in the desktop version of Orchestrator, you can now unassign and reassign tasks from the mobile app as well.
  • We've also performed a series of optimizations for the Folders capabilities, just to make the user experience smoother.

All in all, everything brought by this release should enable you to benefit from our latest Orchestrator features on your mobile device.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.

2019 Fast Track 3.0

Release date: 22 October 2019

 What’s New

We’re excited to announce the next major release update for Orchestrator Mobile. Our Product Engineering thought out and implemented new ways to extend your app experience.

Starting with our upcoming 2019 Enterprise release, you can use Tasks as you do in your web-based Orchestrator. If you have Task User role, then you can see and complete tasks either assigned to you or unassigned. It’s the Task Administrator’s job to assign all the tasks available on a tenant, regardless of their status. Perform your role-specific operations within the updated Quick Action page and view a task’s details in the Task Overview page. Form View page assists you in assigning, unassigning and completing tasks.

We’ve also added something extra to your task experience - Push Notifications inform you, based on your role, about tasks being created, assigned, unassigned, or completed.

If you are a Community Edition user, this release brings you the Folders capability of Orchestrator. Keep in mind though that you can’t create, assign or manage folders on your mobile device.

Note: The apps are released following a staged roll out process that adheres to safe deployment practices. Each day the app is available to an increasing percentage of users. The actual users are defined randomly by Apple & Google. The app becomes available to all users 7 days after the initial release date.
