This page provides frequently asked questions and answers and troubleshooting information for the AI units consumption dashboards.

FAQ

Data

  • Are there any data retention policies in case of Insights?

    By default, there is no data retention for Automation Suite deployments.

  • How often is the data refreshed?

    Data is refreshed every 24 hours.

  • Is historical consumption data available in the dashboard?

    Data is only available following the release of the dashboard (July 2024), while the dashboard is still in public preview. If you need historical data, contact the UiPath Support team.

  • Is the data available in the dashboard specific to a region?

    Yes, data displayed in the dashboard is limited to information from the same region as that of the organization.

    Make sure that the tenant consuming AI units is in the same region as the dashboard.

  • Do I need to pay extra to use Insights for the AI units consumption dashboards?

    No, you can use Insights for free to view the AI units consumption dashboards. Check the Installing Insights section for more information on how to enable Insights.

  • What allocated AI units are included in the dashboard?
    The dashboard displays consumption data from one of the following:
    • AI units allocated at tenant level.
    • AI units allocated at the organization level. This only applies if the tenant has no allocated AI units, but there is an associated tenant for the consumption event. For example, the number of AI units a tenant consumed displayed on the dashboard will match the number displayed on the organization-level dashboard.
  • What Document Understanding data does the dashboard include?

    For Document Understanding, the data covers both cross-platform and IntelligentOCR activities and APIs, applicable to Document Understanding classic, AI Center-based, and modern projects. Data is reported for pre-trained specialized and generative models, as well as custom models.

  • What AI Center data does the dashboard include?

    For AI Center, the data covers runtime consumption referring to predictions using AI Center models, training consumption for training the model, and hosting for serving the model.

  • Which products are tracked in the consumption metrics?
    The following products display the number of consumed AI units:
    • AI Center
    • Document Understanding

  • What Document Understanding data does the dashboard include?

  • Which products are tracked in the consumption metrics?
    The following products display the number of consumed AI units:
    • AI Center
    • Document Understanding

Troubleshooting

Automation name is displayed as Unknown or N/A

  • If the value is displayed as Unknown, this means that there is no data for it. One potential cause could be an older Robot or activity package version or that data is in another region.

    Make sure that you are using the latest versions for UiPath Robot and activity packages.

  • If the value is displayed as N/A, this indicates that it's not applicable because the operation was carried out outside of an automation or Orchestrator folder.

Default tenant name is displayed as Unknown

The default name of the tenant may be displayed as Unknown in the following scenarios:
  • If data pertains to a different region than that of the organization.
  • If consumption data pertains to missing transactions, such as those with no job ID.

Metrics for my ML skills are not complete

AI units consumed by the AI Center ML skills, based on out of the box packages that are older than version 22.10, are not displayed in the dashboard. Only the AI units consumed for infrastructure are displayed. AI units used for calling skills are not tracked and therefore are not displayed in the dashboard.

Make sure that you redeploy older ML skills so they are included in the dashboard.

Note: Upgrading the ML packages version also implies retraining for retrainable models.

Missing data in the dashboard

If you encounter missing data in your dashboard, it may be caused by one of the following:
  • Suspended workflows, reporting the consumption only after they are finished.
  • Organization-level consumption, such as using API Keys as authentication method in the IntelligentOCR workflows, is not displayed at tenant-level.

Orchestrator folder value is displayed as Unknown or N/A

If the value for Orchestrator folder is displayed as Unknown, it means that there is no related data. This could result from using an outdated Robot or activity package version, or if API Keys were used to access public endpoints, such as du.uipath.com/invoices.
Note: Make sure that you are using the latest versions for UiPath Robot and activity packages.

The value is displayed as Unknown also in the case of suspended jobs. In this case, the entry is populated after the job resumes and the automation execution finishes.

If the value is displayed as N/A, this indicates that it's not applicable because the operation was carried out outside of an Orchestrator folder.
