Enabling Data Service
To be able to create and use Data Service you first need to enable it for your tenant. Before enabling the service please check the Prerequisites.
There are two scenarios that enable Data Service as part of your Automation Suite instance:
Data Service is provided as part of the Automation Suite basic profile, hence it is enabled automatically, regardless if you select the basic or the complete profile. To disable Data Service, follow the Advanced installation experience in the Automation Suite guide for the desired version.
After you have the service ready to use as part of your Automation Suite installation, you need to provide it to your tenants too:
Follow the steps below to enable Data Service on your tenant.
- Log in with your Automation Suite admin credentials and access the Admin page.
- Select your tenant from the list of available tenants in the sidebar.
- Select Services. The list of currently available services is displayed.
- Select Data Service, then select Add. The Allocate licenses panel opens.
- Select the number of Data Service Units (DSU) to add to your tenant, then select Add. You can also select Skip, which allocates the default selection of all available free licenses. Your tenant now updates, then returns you to the Services page.
Data Service is enabled in your tenant and available for use.
Consider the following limits when using Data Service:
Data Service resource |

Data Service enforces a rate limit of 5,000 API calls per minute, regardless of how many Data Service Units are assigned to the tenant.
