Create a Governance Policy
- Select Governance > Policies. Existing policies are listed in the table on the page. You can create a policy in one of the following ways:
- To start from scratch, select Add Product Policy above the table.
- To start from an existing policy, hover over that policy in the table, and then select Duplicate.

- To start from a policy generated from Studio or previously downloaded from Automation Ops™, select Upload above the table, select the
.jsonpolicy file that you can then further configure in Automation Ops. For more information, see Generate Governance Files from Studio.Note: If you are trying to upload a policy created for a different version than the selected template, you are prompted to review the policy before saving it.
You can generate JSON files with the settings currently configured for each Studio profile that you can then import as new policies in Automation Ops™. This can be especially useful if you are migrating from the file-based governance model, as it enables you to quickly export the existing governance policies to a format that is compatible with Automation Ops™.
