Release notes

Release notes for the current year are available by clicking on a month in the table of contents on the left.

Each page lists the changes made in Action Center® during the month: new features, bug fixes, and more.

When do updates become available

For Automation Cloud and the products that are available as services in Automation Cloud™, release notes become available progressively, depending on the following:

  • your licensing plan
  • your organization and tenant region

Therefore, the updates reach different users at different times.

The date when a change is first announced in the release notes is the date when it first becomes available. If you do not see the change yet, you can expect to see it soon.

First release: Changes are first available to users in the ANZ (Australia and New Zealand) region. This is when the release notes are published.

Other regions release: If you are an enterprise or enterprise trial user in other regions, expect to see the updates 3 days after they are first announced, or later. The exact number of days it takes for the changes to become available to you, in your chosen hosting region, varies depending on when we finish deploying the changes to all the regions.

We do not announce enterprise releases or releases to the different regions separately.

Example:

Release note date

ANZ region release date

Other regions release date

11 July 2022

11 July 2022

starting with 14 July 2022

Enterprise-only changes

If a change is exclusive to the enterprise plan, we flag it using the label in the release notes. For such changes, the first release goes out to enterprise and enterprise trial users directly. You can expect to see these changes as early as the release note date, but it can take a few days until they become available in your region.

Delayed update organizations

This feature is available for enterprise customers with an Advanced Tier license.

Please contact the UiPath Sales team for more information on how to become an Advanced Tier customer.

If your organization is hosted in a delayed update region, you receive updates for Automation Cloud and its services at least two weeks after they reach other enterprise organizations, which is subject to the rules described above.

The exact number of days it takes for the changes to become available in your delayed update organization, in your chosen hosting region, can be slightly higher than 14 days, depending on when we finish deploying the changes to all the regions.

You can use a typical enterprise organization as your pre-production environment to test updates, and use your delayed update organization as your production environment. After the updates are available in your enterprise organization, you can expect the changes to appear in your delayed update organization roughly two weeks later.

Regions

The delayed update feature is available in the United States and the European Union hosting regions.

Services that benefit from delayed updates

All UiPath services benefit from delayed updates in the United States.

The following UiPath services benefit from delayed updates in the European Union:

  • Automation Cloud portal
  • Orchestrator
  • Insights

What's New

Retention policies for Actions

Important: Erratum - 28 March 2024

Due to a mishap on our side, this feature was not available in the original announcement day (14 March 2024).

Stay in control of your actions by configuring retention policies. As an administrator, you can now set action retention policies defined at the action catalog level.

According to your needs, you can choose to delete or archive actions within the Orchestrator storage buckets.

Visit Configuring retention policies to read about how to configure retention policies for your actions.

Improvements
  • Now, email digests are sent per tenant, grouped by services. Not only is the tenant's name included in the digest, but each email also comes with a personalized sender ID and sender name, unique to each tenant. We've also added the severity level of each event so you can prioritize events better.
  • Improved the input validation for action catalog names to accept only the necessary characters and limited field length.

What's New

Action Center-specific Insights dashboards

As an action administrator, you can now use Insights to create dashboards specifically for Action Center. This feature introduces a new settings level - Preferences - for your Action Center. To enable it, go to the tenant's Admin Settings and then Preferences. Actions dashboards designed with Insights can improve your business processes, by offering a tailored visualization of your actions.

Visit Actions dashboards to learn how to enable and use the Actions-specific dashboards within Insights.

Solutions Management is now GA

Solutions Management is now generally available (GA). This brings a whole host of enhancements and features that you can read more about in the original release note.

What's New

App actions

This marks the release of App actions, currently in public preview! App actions empower you to design interactive apps using App Studio, and then employing them as actions within Action Center. App actions bring increased customization of actions and a more seamless integration between other UiPath services, while interacting during a long-running workflow. The key benefits of App actions are:

  • Effortless action creation: easily build custom actions or use pre-made templates in Apps.
  • Seamless interaction: create actions while being fully immersed in the UiPath user experience, without using any third-party tool.
  • Custom controls: design actions using all the controls available in App Studio.

To kick-start your App actions journey, visit the documentation resources below:

Note: You can create App actions with Studio version 2022.10 or higher.
